About the Book

Kassi is a single, innocent Christian woman who dreams of owning a horse ranch, finding romance, and having a family of her own. She has been hurt by relationships in the past. A handsome cowboy named Landin helps her learn about horses, and the two develop a deep friendship. When Kassi is diagnosed with a serious illness, their friendship dissolves.

Years later, Kassi buys her dream ranch and looks for help to run it. The help comes in the form of Landin. Kassi has a hard time trusting him and they struggle to once again become friends. When Kassi is attacked, she is saved by God and Landin. This forces Landin to finally get up the nerve to tell Kassi that he loves her.

Their romance grows, but Kassi still has trust issues. Can they work out their problems? Perhaps a romantic Christmas hayride is just the setting they need to settle their differences.

About the Author

Amanda Futrell has worked as an orthopedic nurse and is a cancer survivor. She lives in Willard, North Carolina. “I’m surrounded by horse ranches, cattle farms, and cornfields for neighbors. This is the setting I chose for the book. It’s so far in the country that it’s hard for cell phones and cable TV to even reach there.” She grew up reading Christian romance novels and credits the women in her family for inspiring her writing. Her book “shows how loving someone isn’t always easy, but worth the effort if you continue to try.”
