About the Book

The Witch Who Liked to Wear Pink is not a witch who wants to buck tradition! So she dutifully wears black like all the other witches.

But deep down, she is just a little witch who wants to wear her favourite colour, but won’t do it for fear of what the other witches would say. She battles against her longing until it gets to be too much for her, and buys something pink to wear, without the other witches knowing.

She keeps her secret until one particularly windy day, when all is discovered. And when that day arrives, she finds something truly amazing! The other witches have been keeping secrets too!

About the Author

Gillian Kane is a primary school teacher near Norwich, England. One day while her students were painting, one child declared, “Witches don’t wear pink!” The author wrote this story with the help of her granddaughter and her granddaughter’s friend. Her next book is about a mermaid.
