Young Man Learns
There’s No Place Like Home

From Tortola to New York and back home again, a young man’s life comes full circle in the novel Angus Chinnery: I Am Happiest When at Home.

Angus is a handsome boy who grows into manhood fulfilling his childhood promise. In his early 20s, he migrates from Tortola in the British Virgin Islands to America with his wife, who shortly thereafter ends their marriage. Angus becomes a lawyer and works at a New York law firm. But he becomes homesick for his native land and returns to Tortola, where he marries again. Together they raise a beautiful family and his business life is also successful.

Having been part of the African diaspora in his journey to another land, Angus is finally back home, where he is happiest. Sometimes it takes losing something to realize how important it was.
