About the Author

Now retired, Ila Barlow worked in collections for 36 years, first as a typist and clerk, and then as associate manager of a finance company for 17 years. She then worked as collection manager at a bank for 19 years, leaving as assistant vice president. She can attest that there are many humorous experiences in the collection business. The author lives in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
