About the Author

J.L. WrightJ.L. Wright is a Lutheran pastor of a small congregation in Snyder, Texas. He is also a retired federal prison chaplain and a disabled veteran who served more than 13 years in the U.S. Air Force. He holds degrees from Wayland Baptist University, Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary, and Luther Seminary. “Most of the records from WWII are still classified. Lloyd’s mother, my grandmother, lived to be 105, and she kept and treasured every letter and memento. The long-held secrecy concerning what had happened kept her from knowing the truth.”
