About the Book

These delightful stories tell about a kitty named Caddy, who loves adventure, but has many life lessons to learn. Each story has some problem to deal with, such as being bullied, following along with what others do, and not thinking of the possible results of actions taken.

But most of all, the stories in Caddy’s Adventures are designed to emphasize the love and acceptance that children need to experience within their families. The child (kitty) is not expected to be “perfect,” but to be “good enough,” which is a well-known theory in psychological development.

About the Author

Marilyn Ansevin Austin of Olney, Maryland, holds a doctorate in human development and has been a psychotherapist for many years. “I have a love of the magical world of childhood, and I believe that children can learn much about life through the telling of stories such as these about Caddy. This is her first children’s book. “This venue might be useful to teach some life lessons to children, and to emphasize the importance of love and acceptance of the young developing child.”
