Clive Thomas, who worked the land for half a century, spent his childhood years amongst the last of these rich characters, the Australian Bushmen. He has woven their campfire yarns into the tumultuous life story of Peter Tobin, covering the last decades of the 19th century to the end of World War II. He’s already written the book’s sequel covering the years 1948 to the 1970s.
