Welcome to the Deep blue.
That is me in 3 of the pictures above.
Welcome to the island of Talicud and that is the welcome sign which is a place where I stayed for a few hours to sample the delights of the pacific.
I am actually not alone on this island, a Filipino man was with me for he was a relative of my ex Filipino fiancé.
His name was Paul but to not which this article is about or dedicated it’s about me and my time here.
He lives close by in fact it’s almost on his back doorstep and he knows it.
I am a foreigner and I came all this way to be here and take back one hell of an experience to the U.K.
Life in the UK is a little different but I want to write about what it f felt to be like in the deep blue ocean.
This is a bay the Davao bay. This is the bottom or southern end of the largest island in the Philippines called Mindanao.
At the point at where you can see me is a small island.
There are two islands one Samal and Talicud.
Though I spent time on both it’s Talicud on which I spent most of my time in the ocean.
Though I did swim around the coral on paradise beach and see the fish this place is not too far from there.
I didn’t have a waterproof digital camera because they are expensive but next time god willing next time I will make sure to bring one and take shots of the magnificent treasures that are found over here.
Being an excellent swimmer I often dived down and felt immersed in the ocean.
All around me was a vast expanse of clear and unspoiled water and I felt it penetrate me from head to foot.
I am not sure what lies further down but I am here and with a simple pair of goggles I see what is going on around.
There is some seaweed and some small rocks but otherwise it is clear and one of the places that as a travel writer I highly recommend.
The white sand that you can see is so common in this part of the world but to find a place like this one needs to know how to get here.
The trip here was a short one and once inside the waters one doesn’t want to leave.
The sky above is a clear blue one, the rays are beating down on the surface making it into a warm bath.
Yes it’s like a warm bath and I am deep up to my neck and now submerged in the deep deep blue.
As I take a deed breath I dive down and try to stay under for a few seconds.
It feels like another world down here and the world is all mine.
Up and down I like to surface and dive again and feel the ocean, waves and the salty water.
Welcome to my world, welcome to my little old world of ocean, blue skies and a deep deep blue crystal sea.
Now the shore line is steep, that means I don’t need to go that far in before I am not able to stand up.
The current is moderate, it’s not too strong but if I venture out too far I am sure the current will take me out to sea.
Opposite is Samal Island, it is a long island and full of magic but now I am on Talicud and this is one part of the island.
This is one beach where I am now savoring the delights of the white sands
The white sands filter out into the deep blue and I am diving down to see what I can see.
I have spent many times diving down to see what I can see?
It’s a vast array of water as far as the eye can see.
What lies beyond in the deep blue I don’t for I am not wearing diving equipment?
As from the pictures I am having a whale of a time and I feel just like a concubine.
As the sea water enters my nostrils I feel the full effects of the salty water which helps to clear them out.
So if like many foreigners your sinuses are blocked swim in the ocean and clear them out.
Welcome to Slalita, this is the name of the place where I have been.
It’s the tropical version of a place somewhere in your imagination.
It’s not that far to reach and for those few hours even going for a day cruise will set your heart of fire.
The deep blue, it’s a deep entity.
It’s a feeling of being in a vast deep ocean and it feels just great come and join me.
Placing trust
We talk about placing trust in this world of ours
That trust is normally associated with people or
something which is man-made with a spade.
We talk about trusting people but that means or involves:
Time, money, energy, materials, housing, intelligence
and unforeseen calculated risks.
It’s a well-known fact that sometimes we lose
and sometimes we win inside a tin.
If we win we are happy but if we lose we are sad
but not necessarily so bad
We cannot find out or realize our fate associated with trust
unless we try with Stephen Fry.
Placing trust indicates putting people in charge or
control of money or something of considerable
sentimental or materialistic value.
It could also mean doing a job for money plus
eating some elderberry honey.
I wonder just how mature is your very best friend.
I mean your real best and loyal friend who you
can trust without engaging in permanent physical lust.
I wonder if it’s a he or a she.
Or maybe you have many trusted friends
without any real lust or going bust.
My best and loyal friend is a Chinese
National called Yvonne.
I place trust in her almost like i have trusted no-one
before me or her.
Yvonne has been an inspiration without the
infamous Spanish Inquisition or Armada.
She has been a salutation and celebration.
She has been an dedication without a
manifested drug addiction.
Since 2009 I have been in China which for me was
a brand new country which was full of incalculable bounty.
When we first met it was the East entwining with the
West.
I wasn’t so sure how much to trust Yvonne because like
with so many of my previous friendships:
They failed for one reason or another.
And you can be sure that i lost a considerable
amount of time energy and money which made me look so
very funny like an Easter Bunny.
With Yvonne I placed a great deal of trust because
I knew that it was all there from the very very beginning.
Placing complete and absolute trust is
something we had to work on.
Trust was something that we had to understand
and not always reprimand.
In the end we found that invaluable trust
so that all hell didn’t break loose with
the strawberry mouse.
I have placed trust in Yvonne because I know fully well
that she definitely won’t run away with my money.
I have placed trust with Yvonne because
she certainly won’t treat me like a dummy or like
an Egyptian mummy with a huge and 100 inch tummy.
