What motivated/inspired you to write this book?
“I actually was thinking about my past and how it influenced my present time in life. I began to think about the times that my mother would take me in the neighborhood and she and the beautiful ladies would talk about life. Within those talks they would sometimes say My Dear… and give me words of wisdom and knowledge for when I would become a young adult and woman. Those words stuck with me and have helped me along my journey of life. It was within the elders of the community that I began to understand how life would move forward in stages. That we are a part of a bigger picture and that our dreams a part of the process of life. Each one was preparing me for life in such a beautiful way.”
About the Author
Dawn Gregory was born in New Jersey, and in her very early years she had a love for reading and writing. Paper, pencils, and pens have been her very best friends in times of darkness. In 2007, her path led her overseas to the Middle East to work and live. In 2009, she became ill and had a profound near death experience that changed her life. As she struggled to overcome obstacles, she returned back to the Middle East to continue her journey. Dawn has one son, Khi, who is truly her gift from above. He has been there from the very beginning and continues to push her on her writing, to be the very best.
An avid blogger (www.wordsfromthesoul.blogspot.com) and tweeter (@dawnology05), it gives her a worldwide audience, as words are a very big part of her world.
Her hobbies include traveling, fashion, meditation, learning, exercising, and living a positive and stress free life.
Presently Dawn is living overseas and is currently working on her second book.
