Heroes Of GITMO

Heroes Of GITMO gives an unfiltered perspective of the prison camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba from one of the soldiers who was there from the beginning, MAJ (RET) Montgomery Granger. This film challenges main-stream-media narratives that have made GITMO one of the most notorious locations on the planet. Granger’s recollections of GITMO portray a world that is at times horrifying but also heart-warming and an objective not born of cruelty and vengeance, but of nobility and grace. For years we’ve been inundated with a description of GITMO as a place of torture, a place where vindictive, sadistic soldiers defile the meek, helpless prisoners. These descriptions have saturated the story of GITMO. It’s time we hear another side of the story.
