Alida van den Bos grew up in Holland. She emigrated with her husband and two children to Australia, where adventure beckoned. “We tried digging for opal in Coober Pedy, and then started a horse stud with some successes in local and metropolitan racecourses aptly named Running Hoofs. As we were getting older, we went in the antique trade and I wrote stories at every opportunity, using life experiences.”
