Riding north through El Paso, I intersected with the Continental Divide in New Mexico and crisscrossed it through the Rocky Mountain range across the Canadian border. The awe-inspiring Canadian Rockies were a treat to behold as I continued north. A weekend visit with friends near Edmonton, Alberta, provided me with the repairs required to complete my goal, culminating at the Black Hills Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>This was a monumental project that was years in the planning. I endured vast climate changes, encountered wild animals, mechanical failures, and narrowly escaped death on the highways of North America.
