With the \u201ctruth,\u201d everybody is blameless. There are no \u201cfall guys\u201d \u2013 no victims, no reason, no justice \u2013 just a carefully woven sequence of events with no beginning and no end that will stand the test of time.<\/p>\n

Thirty-two years later, the \u201ctruth\u201d is confronted with reality. The whole panoramic consequences of that takes its toll on the conscience and raises its head to be exposed in its very raw format.
\nThis invites the reader to determine the real truth, be the judge and the jury, and pass sentence. It exposes the real \u201cpolitics\u201d of the Government. How in fact the \u201cprivileged\u201d are protected at all costs. It ascribes the destitute feeling of betrayal that eats into the very vertebrae of the real meaning of military life.<\/p>\n

The book also gives an insight into daily military life, the characters, the routine, and the effect it has on family life. Being a soldier is a vocation that can only be compared to religious life, because the feeling is the same when you retire.<\/p>\n

The reality is, an old soldier never dies.<\/p>\n

About the Author<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Frank<\/a>Frank Sumner<\/strong> grew up in a military family. He enlisted in the Irish Defence Forces and served with a border-based unit during the \u201ctroubles\u201d in Northern Ireland. He married whilst there and went on to serve in Lebanon on six occasions with the United Nations. After over 23 years\u2019 service, he retired and opened up his own business that took him all over Europe, China, Vietnam, and Cambodia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
