Before Jesus, there was Joseph, one of the greatest heroes of the Old Testament. “I was always captivated by Old Testament characters. I was particularly inspired by Joseph, as so much of his life can be applied to life today,” says author John Berry.
Life as a refugee was far from easy for Joseph, the dreamer. Abused, sold by his jealous brothers into slavery because he was their father’s favourite, and imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit, how was Joseph to cope with life’s challenges as a friendless, dejected slave?
Going from favored son to the lowest of slaves, Joseph experienced humility and the growth of his spirit, as he became a leader, and the saviour of Egypt and the 12 tribes of Israel. About the Author
First-time author John Berry is a retired teacher and a lay minister in the Anglican Church. He lives near Stratford-upon-Avon, is married, has three grown-up children and two small grandchildren. He started writing 10 years ago and has had three articles published in the Christian magazine Plain Truth.
