Tanya Renee Thomas-Greig wrote the poetry in this book after falling ill while pregnant and fearing she would lose the baby. While battling insomnia, the poems just kept coming. “Every thought and fear had a poem to go with it. I could not have slept until these poems were written.”

She believes that “God allowed me to experience these storms to strengthen me. I do not know what storms lie ahead of me, but I am sure that God will be walking with me, and if I get too tired, will carry me. Thank you, Lord, for my storms.”

In bad times and in good, poetry has the power to uplift our spirit. If you have faced life’s storms and have found words to be soothing, Food for a Believer’s Soul will feed your spirit and ease your fears. The storms of life are critical to our development as a dynamic disciple of God. Without these storms, this book would not have been possible.
