About the Author

Doreen Perera was born and raised in Sri Lanka and these stories are based on her childhood there, where her father managed a tea plantation. She earned a BA from the University of Ceylon, and a master’s at the University of Washington, Seattle. There she met her husband and moved with him to Germany where she raised three children. Now widowed and retired, she has time to write.
