Vuzo Adeleke was born and raised in Lamontville, situated south of Durban, South Africa. She graduated with a primary teaching degree and pursued further diploma specialization in school library and media science. She lives in Durban, where she was a school teacher and head of her department. She is now a full-time author. Her first book Make It Real is an autobiography.
