Yvonne Ray grew up in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, the oldest of seven children. A registered nurse, she is also a prolific author. Her book required a lot of research. “It was hard to decide what historical events to include and what not to. The other hard thing was to not become too bogged down with the history. I wanted to keep it interesting and also do a little teaching as well.”
